EMERITI
If you are an emeritus faculty/staff member from UWL and you live out of state, you can still access our research databases. Use the "Log into Search@UW" instructions below. If that does not work, please email Circulation Services at cirser@uwlax.edu. You will need to verify your identity with your name and the username that you tried.
Since Emeriti maintain an active relationship with the university, their library accounts are lifelong once they are set up. No expiration date and available whenever you want to use it.
To get started (if you live locally):
Emeriti do not get active NetIDs and cannot log onto the general computers, but we do have four computers available for public use (see below).
RETIREES
If you are a retiree but not emeritus, you have most of the same privileges. Please bring your driver's license to the Circulation Desk in Murphy Library. This borrower account will allow you to check out materials from Murphy Library and use InterLibrary Loan.
TO REVIEW & RENEW ITEMS OR TO REQUEST MATERIALS FROM OTHER LIBRARIES
Log into your library account
Username: your 9-digit ID number
Password: your birth month and day followed by @UWL (example: 0326@UWL)
TO MAKE OR CHECK ON INTERLIBRARY LOAN REQUESTS
Log into ILLiad
Username:your 9-digit ID number (add zeroes to the beginning if it's shorter than 9 digits)
Password: your last name, all lowercase
TO ACCESS DATABASES & E-BOOKS (Emeriti Only)
Find a database or e-book that you want and click on it. You will get a login prompt.
Username: your old NetID (either first initial last name (jsmith) or last.first (smith.john), as it was when you retired)
Password: your birth month and day followed by @UWL (example: 0326@UWL)
Visit the Murphy Library Home Page and click on "My Accounts" to log into any of these.

Four computers are available for community members and emeriti to use. A self-service sign-in station is available that will assign you a temporary username and password. These may be printed out to help you log onto one of the public computers easily.
