Resource Sharing

To borrow materials from other UW libraries:

  1. Find books/articles/DVDs/whatever in Search@UW that Murphy Library does not own.
  2. Click "Sign in" log in with your old NetID and your birthday password (example: 0325@UWL).
  3. Click "UW Request." Add the volume number if relevant and click "REQUEST."
  4. The item should arrive in 2-3 business days. You will receive an email when it is ready.
  5. You may pick up your item at the Circulation Desk.

InterLibrary Loan

If you want something that is not available from Murphy Library or any other UW Library, you may request an InterLibrary Loan:

  1. Log into ILL with your 9-digit ID number and your last name (all lowercase) as the password.
  2. Choose the appropriate type under "New Request."
  3. Fill in the blanks as much as you can and click "Submit Request."
  4. It can take a week or more for your item to arrive. You will receive an email when it is ready.
  5. You may pick up your item at the Circulation Desk.
