Searching the Murphy Library Catalog for Tests
Murphy Library holds the Educational Testing Service Tests in Microfiche collection, Sets A-Z and AA-DD, which includes about 1,100 tests (in full text) that became available from 1975 to 2004.
Each of the tests available in the ETS Tests in Microfiche collection is listed individually in the library catalog. There are two ways to search for them:
1. Find all tests in microfiche by searching for "tests in microfiche" in the Murphy Library catalog.
2. Search for tests by topic keyword, using Advanced Search. This is located to the right of the search button. Enter "tests in microfiche" , select "title", and then select "contains phrase". Then enter topic keyword(s) in the other search box(es), such as "sports".
Interpreting the Catalog Record and Retrieving the Microfiche Test
Copies of tests are filed in the Cataloged Microfiche cabinets on the 2nd floor. All of the tests begin with the same call number: LB 3051 .T47. The number following the call number (note the no.020328 in the example below) is unique to each test and is used to file the tests in the drawer.
