- bioRxivPreprint server for Biology, operated by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL). A database of articles that have not yet been subject to peer review and published in a scholarly journal.
- BRENDAEnzyme Information System
- CAS Source Index (CASSI) Search Toolidentify or confirm journal titles and abbreviations for publications indexed by the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) since 1907, including serial and non-serial scientific and technical publications.
- ChemRxivPreprint server for chemistry, collaboratively managed by the American Chemical Society (ACS), Chinese Chemical Society, Chemical Society of Japan, German Chemical Society (GDCh) and the Royal Society of Chemistry. A database of articles that have not yet been subject to peer review and published in a scholarly journal.
- ChemWebJournal Abstracts from chemistry publishers such as Bentham, Elsevier, Springer and others covering over 500 journals can be searched and accessed for free. Find a conference, trade-show or on-line course on the Events page. Requires joing/registration. Memebership is free
- Common Chemistry (CAS)Contains CAS Registry Numbers for approximately 7,900 chemicals of widespread general public interest.

- Protein Data Bank (PDB)Information about experimentally-determined structures of proteins, nucleic acids, and complex assemblies.
- ThermoDexFinding aid for information contained in compilations of thermodynamic and physical property data for chemical compounds and other substances. Most indexed sources are printed books; a few are freely available Web-based databases.
