Databases on this page are ideal for finding information published in journals and other scholarly sources. Comprehensive databases provide broad access to the published literature. Sometimes the full article is contained in the database, but other times you click on the button in these databases to find your access options for an article. From there, articles not held by Murphy Library can be conveniently requested through InterLibrary Loan.
CHE literature is indexed thoroughly across several databases that index larger fields comprehensively. Of these, I believe CINAHL (Cumulative Index for Nursing and Allied Health) is generally the best fit for topics in CHE.
I would suggest that for most topics in this class you should start and spend most of your time in CINAHL when seeking to identify sources within the professional literature. Then, having familiarized yourself with the literature as covered by CINAHL, depending on the nature of your topic you may want to explore additional sources.
"Grey literature" refers to published information sources outside of the realm of scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles. Such sources may not be covered by tools that aim to comprehensively index the professional literature. Grey literature may be especially relevant in new and emerging topical research areas.
