Arctic Science and Technology Information System (ASTIS)
Database contains more than 86,000 records describing publications and research projects about northern Canada.
An address look-up tool that converts your address to an approximate coordinate (longitude/latitude) and returns information about the address range that includes the address and the census geography the address is within.
Climate Data Online (CDO)
NCDC's archive of global historical weather and climate data in addition to station history information. These data include quality controlled daily, monthly, seasonal, and yearly measurements of temperature, precipitation, wind, and degree days as well as radar data and 30-year Climate Normals.

Geographic Names Information System - GNIS
The U.S. Geological Survey developed the GNIS in support of the U.S. Board on Geographic Names as the official repository of domestic geographic names data, the official vehicle for geographic names use by all departments of the Federal Government, and the source for applying geographic names to Federal electronic and printed products.
GEOnet Names Server (GNS)
From the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), the GNS is the official repository of standard spellings of all foreign geographic names, sanctioned by the United States Board on Geographic Names (US BGN)
National Historical Geographic Information System (NHGIS)
Summary tables and time series of population, housing, agriculture, and economic data, along with GIS-compatible boundary files, for years from 1790 through the present and for all levels of U.S. census geography, including states, counties, tracts, and blocks.
Portal offers free access to research and development (R&D) results and scientific and technical information from scientific organizations across 13 federal agencies.
