Informative Speech Assignment
You will be giving an informative speech of 5-7 minutes using one of two topic options:
- Topic option 1: Local community
- Topic option 2: Career pathway
Today:
- We will discuss evaluating information sources, as well as "lateral reading" as a strategy for evaluating sources as you read them.
- We will provide a quick overall introduction to the resources, tools, and services of Murphy Library.
- We will offer several recommendations for information sources for either of your topic options.
