First Year Seminar: Intro to Library Research & Resources: Library Sources Beyond Murphy Library

If Murphy Library doesn't have access to something that you need for your research or assignments, we have another option. 

This is call "InterLibrary Loan" (ILL). With specific research tools, we go outside of the UW library system to other institutions in the country (or sometimes even outside of the U.S.) to find you what you need. Whether it's a book, or other physical object, or a scanned article, the turn-around time varies but it can take as little as 24 hours up to a few days or more (depending on where it's coming from).
