Writing Center tutors are here to assist you with all of your writing needs. Simply stop by Murphy Library Learning Center sign up for a tutoring session. You may also come in on a drop-in basis if tutors are available. Use our computers, our reference books, our couch, our staplers, our tables--but most of all use our friendly and knowledgeable tutoring staff.
To get the most from your tutoring session, please bring a copy of the assignment as well as any notes or drafts. Feel free to bring in electronic versions of your work as well. Although tutors can help at the last minute, the sooner you can come in the better. Peer tutors encourage writers to be as independent as possible. We will not edit or proofread papers; instead, we ask questions designed to help writers find and analyze their own problems.
The Writing Center is located on the 2nd floor of Murphy Library (251 Murphy Library).
